Are you looking for something to spice up your date night during quarantine? Already finished bingeing Tiger King and Schitt’s Creek and ready to do something ELSE besides Netflix and chill? I put together five fun quarantine date ideas to help you out! These are options that both honor the public health order and change things up for you and your boo.

        1. Road Trip Day

Hop in your car and spend the day on the road exploring. If you live in Southern California, the beautiful views are endless! You can drive up PCH and head to Santa Barbara for the day, enjoying an outdoor restaurant while you’re there. Or you can pack a lunch and sneak up to Big Bear for the day and enjoy the mountain air. What used to be a means to an end can be the actual fun trip… just driving together!

        2. Bike Ride

If you have bikes of your own, you’re set. If you don’t, rental shops are open and you can snag a set of bikes and ride along the beach trail for the day, enjoying the beach at a safe distance. And you get some exercise, too!

        3. Paddle Board or Kayaking

If the beach feels too crowded, rent a paddleboard or kayak for the day and explore the ocean. You can kayak through the coves of Laguna and forget about the pandemic for a few hours just with you and your significant other.

        4. At-home: learn how to make sushi

For all you sushi fans, did you know you can order sushi-making kits on Amazon? Swap out your weekly DoorDash with a kit from Amazon, which includes the bamboo, how to make the rice, and how to put it all together. You’re staying indoors but still doing something fun!

        5. At-home: YouTube a paint night!

Remember when Paint Nights got big and then COVID happened and ruined everything? Guess what- you can still do paint night at home. Order the supplies and pick up a nice bottle of wine (go for the top shelf, honey), pull up a Paint Night tutorial on YouTube (like this one!) and make something beautiful in your own home.

Aaaand, if you want to level up your staycation plans, check out this blog.

I know we’re all in various stages of grief when it comes to quarantine, but hopefully you can take some time for you and your significant other with these fun date night ideas.

        xo-
